Club Impact

The Boys and Girls Club of La Plata County serves over 1,000 local youth each year through our after school, summer and outreach programs.

The Club provides a fun, safe place that kids can call their own, where they are inspired to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

In 2016 our members were surveyed locally on site. The survey addressed many values we hold to as an organization. These included, but were not limited to:

• The Importance Of Staying School
• Leadership Skills
• Respect
• Living Healthy Lifestyles

We are proud to share that our members overwhelmingly communicated the Club’s influence on their positive habits and a commitment  to Club values:

The Importance of Staying In School
An overwhelming majority of the members surveyed agreed that is extremely important to remain in school.

Leadership Skills
A majority of the surveyed members stated that, since coming to the Boys & Girls Club, they have gained valuable leadership skills.

Treating Others With Respect
Members who were surveyed agreed that, since coming to the club, they make an effort to treat others with more respect.
