Summer Programs

Join the Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County staff this summer for a variety of programs and activities designed to keep kids and teens active and engaged.  This summer is all about having fun with friends, trying new things, and sharing experiences!

What’s Ahead this Week and Next

Club members should bring their lunch (with their name on it), water bottle, hat, sunscreen to the Club each day (in a backpack to keep it organized). The Club does not have refrigeration or microwaves available for Club member lunches. Club members here from 7:30 until 5:30 should bring an afternoon snack.

Rec Center Swim Days-Bring Swimsuit and Towel
  • Tues 3rd & 4th gr Club members
  • Wed 5th & 6th gr Club members
  • Thurs 7, 8 & 9th gr Club members
WED is Yoga Day at the Club, dress appropriately
THURS, June 17th: Downtown Scavenger Hunt
7th, 8th, & 9th gr Club Members

Participants must be at the Club no later than 10:30am, lunch will be provided.  Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat, and bring sunscreen and a water bottle.  Participants will return to the Club after 3pm

June 21-25: National Boys & Girls Club Week

Join the fun with dress-up days and water fun!

  • Mon: Crazy Hair Day
  • Tues: Pajama Day
  • Wed: Fav Sports Team Day
  • Thurs: Boys & Girls Club “Blue” Day- wear as much blue as possible
  • Fri: Water Day- bring a swimsuit, towel and be prepared to get wet!

Summer 2021 News

The Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County is excited to provide full-day, in-person, summer programs to current 2021 Club members, 3rd grade and older. To renew your membership, visit our Enroll Now page. Summer hours and fees are:

Monday – Thursday 7:30am-5:30pm – $20 per day*
Friday 7:30am – 12:30pm – $10 per day*

*Club approved need-based financial assistance for program costs/field trips is available, click here. Club members 7th grade and older are free.

COVID-SAFER PRACTICES

Following recommended guidelines, we currently have limited daily capacity for in-person Club site programs. All Club members MUST be registered each day they will be attending Club. Drop-in is no longer an option.
